No long braising for this delicious Cuisine Solutions’ sous-vide Short Rib that only needs to be quickly pan fried to caramelize! Add your garnish, stock and seasoning to create a hearty wholesome braised meal in minutes!
4-6Individual short ribs
60gWhite onions hahalf-moon cut
150gQuartered white cap mushrooms
PinchSalt and black pepper
390gLiquid beef stockGood Quality
PinchFresh thyme chopped stalks removed
PinchFresh rosemary chopped stalks removed
PinchFresh parsley chopped
Heat coconut oil in heavy based pan. When hot, sear short ribs 30 seconds each side or until caramelized.
Remove the ribs from the pan and set aside.
On a low heat with the heavy bottom pan used for searing earlier on, add your half-moon cut onions & slowly caramelize until golden brown.
Once the onions are golden brown, add quartered white cup mushrooms to the pan and cook until reduced in size by 25%.
Add thyme & rosemary. Cook out for 2 minutes.
Add beef stock, bring to the boil and reduce to coating consistency (approx. 25%).
Add short ribs back into the pan and heat through on a low heat for 10 minutes. Serve sprinkled with Chopped Parsley and with Sautéed Cauli rice!
